What is CAE and how can you benefit?
The Energy Saving Certificates (CAE), also known as “white certificates”, are official documents that prove a real reduction in energy consumption (mainly in kWh of final energy) after the installation of efficient systems or improvements. This mechanism, based on the National System of Energy Efficiency Obligations (SNOEE), allows us to monetize the savings generated and sell them to large energy companies that are required by law to reduce their energy footprint.
In other words, if you improve the energy efficiency of your home or premises, you can obtain an economic income from the savings generated.

Standardized projects use official technical data sheets with predefined methodologies. This allows you to calculate the savings and validate the project more quickly. Currently, there are more than 50 cards available and constantly updated covering a wide range of actions.

Aerothermal and CAE: a winning combination
Aerothermal is positioned as one of the most efficient technologies, with a performance that can multiply the energy consumed by four. By replacing polluting systems (such as gas or diesel boilers) with aerothermal, significant savings are generated that can be converted into income through the sale of CAE. How much can I earn with a CAE?
As a guide, the current market values of the CAE range between €115 and €140 per MWh saved. Many installations can recover between €2,000 and €2,500 through these certificates within an average period of three months, without counting European aid. However, this value is not fixed and depends on several project-specific factors.
The value of CAE depends on:

- How much did that previous system consume?
- In what type of space the installation is carried out (housing, hotel, industry…).
